If you’re going to tour the woods, better to have a teddy bear to protect you – or even better yet, a loving mother.

Some 26 preschoolers and 10 families took part in the Teddy Bear Picnic at Cleveland Metroparks North Chagrin Reservation in Mayfield Village on Wednesday.

The youngsters brought along their teddy bears and took a little hike. The young ones were taught lessons about the lives of black bears and got a chance to munch on cookies and other treats.
