Chrissy Nemeth, of Highland Heights, somehow convinced Annie to wear hula garb and star glasses.

Tounges and tails were wagging as Petsmart in Mayfield Heights opened its doors to the 2012 Halloween Pet contest. There were cute, funny and scary critters who vied for best-costume awards. Everyone was a winner, as there were treats and friendly pets for all.

You accidentally misidentified me and my dog...it is Kayley in the bee costume, not Scooby.

I went a couple years ago. My dog had an awesome home made costume that was clearly better than any of the off-the-shelf costumes. The prize was a $50 gift card. The dog who won was there with one of the shelters that was using the event as free advertising. The dog didn't even have a costume. I am all for Petsmart donating money to animal charities, but dont advertise a contest with a prize and have it be a sham.
