Police Blotter: Hey, Where Did the DJ Go?

Information supplied by the Mayfield Village Police Department

A DJ performing for an event at the Mayfield Village Parkview Pool on N. Commons Blvd. got locked into the facility after the gathering ended on the evening of July 6.

He got locked in with all of his equipment and wasn’t sure if everyone had left or if there were people in the parking lot.

Police determined everyone was gone. Police were able to obtain a master key and freed the DJ.

Police told pool employees the following Monday to make sure everyone has left the pool area before locking up the facility and leaving.

Scared them off: A Kenwood Dr. resident said on the evening of July 2 that she thinks she scared off someone trying to steal her grill or the propane tank a couple of nights ago. They left it there and it didn’t happen again. She said she didn’t want to speak with an officer but wanted special attention paid to the area.

Firecracker in the mailbox: An officer said it appeared that someone placed a firecracker in a mailbox and blew it up on Bonnieview Rd. The resident wanted to file a property damage report on the evening of July 2. The incident was kept to the police logs.

Stolen wallet: A woman reported having her wallet stolen from her purse on the Progressive Insurance campus just after midnight on July 3.

Numb at the wheel: A 24-year-old male driver’s body went numb and tingly while in a black Chevy Cobalt parked on Echo Dr. the morning of July 6. The man also had trouble talking. The driver’s mother called it in saying this happened last week and paramedics didn’t find anything. The car remained parked and the man was taken to Hillcrest Hospital.

Violent biker: A man stopped a Mayfield Village police officer and told him that a blond man without a helmet and riding on a red Kawasaki motorcycle threw something at his car and shattered the window. He also alerted the Mayfield Heights police on the evening of July 6.
