Police Blotter: Driver Goes For A Full Menu Of Violations

A Chesterland woman was arrested and charged with driving a vehicle while intoxicated as she was traveling eastbound on Mayfield Rd. in the westbound lanes during the late evening of July 9. The woman, 45, was also charged with refusal to submit to a breath test, driving under suspension, driving without a driver’s license and operating a vehicle on the wrong side of a divided roadway. She was subsequently jailed until she posted bond.

Bad accident: Two vehicles were involved in an accident on Wilson Mills Rd. the afternoon of July 9. One of the drivers, a 24-year-old woman from Painesville, was taken to Hillcrest Hospital for crash injuries. The same driver was subsequently cited for failing to yield the right of way when turning left.

Theft: A Gates Rd. resident reported the theft of several solar driveway lights from her property the morning of July 10. Those who were responsible are not known.

Turn it down: A Chagrin River Rd. resident said his neighbor was causing a disturbance by playing music on his patio speakers in the early morning of July 11. An officer spoke with the neighbor who subsequently turned off the music.
