Police Blotter: Border Patrol Unable to Pick Up Illegal Immigrants

A car slid off the road at 8:42 a.m. Jan. 28 at Meadowood and Eastgate drives. Police said three passengers admitted to being Mexican natives in this country illegally. Police contacted the immigration office, which contacted Homeland Security, and Border Patrol was called to see what to do about the men. Since Border Patrol officers were unable to pick them up, police were told to let them go.
An officer suggested at 7:25 a.m. Jan. 30 that service department workers should patch potholes on Wilson Mills Road and said it was like driving on the moon.
A Village Trail resident called at 2:09 p.m. Jan. 28 about a 20-year-old daughter who was out of control. She said the battle was only verbal this time, but the daughter can get physical.
People were parking in "no parking" areas around the high school at 7:53 p.m. Jan. 26 because of a swim meet. Police issued citations for the violations.
A Beechers Brook woman called at 5:28 p.m. Jan. 25 and said a car with teenagers was speeding down the street and she told them to slow down. They responded by calling her names and telling her to mind her own business. She gave the address of one of the teens and an officer talked to the boy's father about the incident.
