Plain Dealer, Beacon Journal Endorse Barack Obama for President. Do you? POLL
Both newspapers endorsed the president over his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, but with less enthusiasm than they did four years ago. We want to hear what you think.
In this, the so-called swing state of Ohio, two of today's three Ohio major newspaper endorsements went to President Barack Obama.
In the Plain Dealer's endorsement, the editorial board said Ohio benefitted from Obama's decision to help the auto industry and that he pulled the nation back from "the brink of" depression. But they weren't as enthusiastic as they were four years ago.
The Beacon Journal in Akron also endorsed Obama today. They like the president's "direction, spirit and priorities," but also said "errors have been made."
The Columbus Dispatch endorsed his Republican opponent, Mitt Romney today. They said the country needs a new direction and that the president is unsuited to a second term.
But at Patch, it's all about what you think. Here's your chance to publish your "endorsement."
Post it in the comments of this story or we invite you to post your endorsement in a blog. We know you're not shy. And all of your endorsement blogs will be collected and featured on Patch next Sunday.
Not sure how to start a Patch blog? Just go to your home Patch site and click on the "start a blog" link under the editor's top four stories of the day (on the mid left side of the page).
Remember, a blog doesn't have to be War and Peace. Some of our comments are already meaty enough to live in their own blogs.
