Oscars: Who Should Have Won Best Picture?
'The Artist' took home the Oscar, but which film do you think should have won the statue?
Last night, for the first time since the inaugural Oscar awards in 1929, a silent film won Best Picture at The Academy Awards. The Artist, a melodramatic love story set at the end of the silent film era, also took home the honors of Best Director, Best Costume Design, Best Original Score and Best Actor.
The Academy may have spoken, but who would you have picked for Best Picture? Martin Scorsese's Hugo, Steven Spielberg's War Horse, The Help or one of the other nominees?
Cast your vote for the best picture, and don't forget to tell us why in the comments!

I'm sorry, but a silent film in this day & age? I'm not buying into it. Warhorse got snubbed and in my opinion was the best film out this year.

Well,
since none of these films drew me to attend them I will leave the Oscar wrangling and the film industry strangling to others. Honestly, none of these films enticed me to spend money to see them or even rent them (or even check them out of the Library). I thought about Hugo but decided to wait until the Library has a copy.

Warhorse was beautifully shot, but Hugo was such a creative yet faithful adaptation of the Caldecott-winning book that I have to vote for it!

I saw most of the nominees. The Artist was the best movie in my opinion. Didn't think it was that close either.
