Missing Mayfield Heights Man's Body Identified
Coroner's office confirms Gianfagna was man in car
The Lorain County Coroner’s office confirmed today that the body found inside a missing man’s car in Sheffield Village is that of Mayfield Heights resident Marco Gianfagna.
Neither the coroner’s office nor Sheffield Police Chief Larry Bliss would comment on whether the death is being investigated as suspicious and said their offices are still investigating. The coroner’s office said it would take weeks to determine the cause of death.
Sheffield Village Police found Gianfagna’s body Wednesday morning in the parking lot of the Evergreen Pain Management and Rehabilitation Center at 5445 Detroit Rd., Bliss said.
Bliss said Sheffield Village Police received a tip from the Mayfield Heights Police Department that led to the car being found in the area.
Gianfagna, a father of four, had been missing since Monday, July 30, according to a friend of the family.
