Lost Dog Preston Rescued Three Weeks After Running Away
Social Media users say the Mayfield Service Department aided in finding the dog
Preston, the dog who ran away from his owner three weeks ago in a Highland Heights parking lot, is now back home.
The message his social media Friday afternoon, and details on how and where he was recovered are murky for now. People on Facebook credited the Mayfield Heights Service Department for the rescue. A message for Service Director Andrew Fornaro was not returned on Friday.
The above image was posted on the Facebook page of Northeast Ohio Rescues, an organization that helped publicize Preston's absence. The group posted a message it said was from Preston's owner:
Preston is home!!!!!! Alive and well. A bit thin and some cuts but he's very happy to be home!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!
The owner pledged to host a meet and greet soon, once the dog gets some rest.

I, too, drove around constantly looking for Preston. I believe he lives in my nieghborhood (Richmond Heights) and I couldn't bare to keep seeing his "missing" photo on the various poles in the neighborhood. HORRAY!
