This is exactly what we don't need in office! Sherrod Brown is trying to do the right thing against incredible odds. This guy didn't show up for Ohio Board of Deposit meetings for 15 months until he was outed in the press. He is Ohio Treasurer he is supposed to attend these meetings! Lies and more lies is just what we don't need. This makes me stand up and shout NOOO!

Where did the incredible odds come from? Strickland? Sherrod has had plenty of time trying to do the right thing. The last I checked our treasury is in the best shape its been in many years, our budget deficit is gone and Ohio led the nation in job growth last month. What changed in the last 18 months? Leadership! That is what you call doing the right thing!

I see, once again, partisan stupidity needs to be schooled.
Uhh...Nassman, our (state) treasury is in the same shape it was when Mandel took office. Which was excellent shape. Nothing has changed (except Mandel has pretty much been a no-show at many Treasurer responsibilities, meetings, etc). But, it's nice to see you're buying the "spin" that his spokesperson sends out when Mandel is called out for (once again) being MIA. That's up there with people/politicians bragging (and in your case, spewing ridiculous talking points) that "we balanced the budget." BY LAW THEY ARE REQUIRED TO!
That's like someone bragging they take care of their kids. You're supposed to!

Your comment also highlights you are clueless in what Brown's position is by tying him into the state budget, etc.. Sherrod Brown is a US SENATOR -- NOT part of Columbus, who deals with the state budget issues.
Good grief. Contrary to the saying, ignorance is NOT bliss. No wonder people like you hide behind an alias.

Jack
"I see, once again, partisan stupidity needs to be schooled." Yours included. "Nothing has changed" except we have a rainy day fund and a budget that is eight billion less than the Strickland overspend mania.

Didn't Josh Mandel promise that, if he took office, he wasn't going to campaign for another office until his term was over? And, practically immediately, he started running for the Senate.

Talk about lying ...

I'm glad someone else remembered what this first-class liar had said (many times) during his run for Treasurer.
If Mandel was a Dem, the right would already be ripping him for it. On the right...what's that? Oh. The sound of crickets.

No, it does not James.
And, not surprised that someone on the right is bringing up something that has no actual relevance. Nice try, but you failed. Unless you'd like to try to mention how it's even remotely relevance (this is where you'll do a good job stretching, but will still be irrelevant).

My credibility is fine and intact. What partisan puppets like YOU think -- because I shoot down your right-wing nonsense by clocking clocks with FACTS -- means nothing (esp. when it wins me awards in REAL life). But, I realize it sucks for punch drinkers like you because you're unable to deal with facts when they're presented to you, and have to resort to the ridiculous response you offered up.

Plus, if you wanted to bring up a name that would be way more relevant, that would be Dennis! because he stated he was not going to run for president a second time, and he did. But, that's not the same as what Mandel pulled. But, that's okay -- you're protecting your boy (and first-rate liar) Josh. Just like many other right-wingers are. That's why you have to deflect and bring up irrelevancies rather than just admitting that he did what's being mentioned.

Someone like you is in NO position to question someone like me. What do you do for a living, huh? Let's compare credentials. Yeah, I didn't think so.
Your responses are typical when you're cornered with FACTS and the only thing you're able to respond with are to "go-to" responses.
One is supposed to get wiser as they get older. What's your excuse? (Save it, nobody cares).

There are MANY Republicans who are NOT happy with Mandel's decision to run for Senator after just being elected to Treasurer. There are many on the right (excluding the puppets who only go by what they hear from the similarly-clueless right-wing radio spewers) who think Mandel lied/knowingly misrepresented to the people his true intentions when he started "unofficially" campaigning for Brown's seat a month after he was elected and started to get his campaign wallet stuffed. They want him to finish the term they elected him to do.

Platitudes of the right attitudes. Time for more of the Leftist statists to be turned out in Nov 2012 just like Nov 2010.

Sherrod Brown and BHO both evoke "anybody but them" responses from the electorate.

We need fiscal conservatives who realize that the people are the answer, not bloated, unresponsive, wasteful oppressive government.

Are we all better off than 4 years ago?

Unemployment @ 8.2%, dropping only when more people stop looking for work?
The weakest post WW2 recovery. The job-killing green lobby actually getting more support than the unions (how's that taste union members?). A regulatory state that stiffles innovation and investment. The nationalization of the student loan industry. Central planning of 1/6 of the economy via the PPACA. Dodd-Frank, 2,000 pages of incomprehensable financial regulation setting up the next financial crisis and bailouts. A national debt now slightly larger than annual GDP; a debt that our children and grandchildren are saddled with. Budget deficits without end.

Really want 4 more years of that?

Hey look at this: the 2 pots (Nassman who is a pansy who uses an alias because he's a coward) & James calling the kettle black.
You've already proven that when the undisputed facts are thrown in faces like yours, you are unable to refute them with actual facts (because Rush, Sean & the local wannabes didn't "tell you" how to respond). Or, if you're called out (like you were previously), hacks like you do what you do best:
Ramble off the usual "responses" (see above for examples) , put your tail back in-between your legs, run off like the ignorant fools you are, and then wait for others like "Pussman" (Nassman), Damon & others to continue the circle-jerk between each other.

You are so correct James. The left can not defend their positions in the arena of ideas so they have to engage in personal attacks. Reading through these comments I didn't see any of the Josh Mandel bashers take on his policy positions with any intellectual integrity. I challenge any Liberal, as I have done for years, to name one Liberal policy in the last 50 years that has been a success.

Damon, you can stop acting like you're so much smarter than anyone here. Anyone can have a blog. Your post didn't address anything either. You're simply trying to change the subject because, as usual, you are unable to address the undisputed facts that have been posted here. Which is typical. And, in typical Republi-kook fashion, undisputed facts are considered "bashing." Change your diaper, baby.
What are Josh's policies? I didn't think you had a clue either. He doesn't have any--of his own. And this isn't about "liberal policies." It's about a candidate (when it comes to "policies", the Republicans have *no* room to talk).
A candidate who is a proven liar who has said many flat-out lies. And he continues to say this on the trail. But he says this to pander to the kooks like you. Because you want to be told what to think. You're unable to think for yourself. If kooks like you are not going to address the facts that have been posted, then you can STFU and spare us your condescending attitude just because you're another right wing kook who sat silent while you allowed the party to act like liberals over the past 12 years & get us into the situation we're currently in today as a country.
You'll probably just make excuses or point fingers. Just like losers do.

Mandel is going down.
He can raise all the $$ he wants from the lunatic fringe, but he's already turned off the moderates of the party because he lied to them! He said many times when he was running for Treasurer that he was going to not run for another office. He lied!
He's been campaigning during his entire time as Treasurer. He's been campaigning more than Obama.
Mandel is the fringe of the right that the party is trying to get rid of.
But, don't expect the RepubliKOOKS to acknowledge that. Because they're in denial. Like an alcoholic. Or they're uneducated. Actually, it's both.
It's going to come out some of the special interests he's been pandering to.
Him pandering to the Teabagging kooks is not going to do him any favors. Any candidate would be smart to stay far away from the teabaggers.
At the end of the day, it's the independents who matter. Not the partisans who are too stupid, because they just vote along party lines. The independents and moderates (the latter being the majority of voters) see what the kooks have done to the right, and the tea-trash is going to be voted out.
It's too bad the Republicans are now a bunch of pansies who have allowed themselves to be hijacked by the lunatic fringe and Rush. You used to be a good party.

Hyper-extremists from both parties will be our downfall. In fact, they have already set that in motion ... mostly because they all feel that even the slightest comprimise is a sign of weakness, when in actuality it always better to bend than break.

Unitl there is a legitimate third (or fourth or fith) political party in this country, we are doomed for "more of the same." (and please don't tell me that the tea party is a third party)

that would be nice to see liberal democrat, liberal republican, moderate democrat, moderate repeblican and independants all squaring off in november ....lets face facts all of the republicans were forced to support bush just as all the the democrats are forced to support obama now ....but to vote for someone that does not speak for your beliefs JUST so the other party does not win is non-productive .........but that can never work due to the electoral votes needed

Peter, compromise is great in many areas of life. On the issue of Federal spending, compromise is precisely why were trillions of dollars in debt. Even if you subtract the unilateral wasting of money by Obama and the democrats, we had 8 years of Republican controlled over spending under Bush. go-along get-along legislation filled with pork spending and unchecked waste ballooned our debt. Then enter Obama and his disregard for deficits, and we see the deficit and debt increase trillions beyond Bush's spending. It's all a disgrace. The Tea party stands for limited and smaller govt that calls for cuts in wasteful spending. I'm still baffled as to why that's kooky and fringy. If being responsible with my money is kooky, then I wish to live a kooky life until i die.
