A former Sandy Hook Elementary School student named Ryan Kraft, also a longtime neighbor of the Lanza family, posted a Local Voices blog on Newtown Patch saying he set up a fund to help heal his community.
The link to the fund site is here—crowdrise.com/SHSRelief—and according to Kraft, all monies are directed toward the school's PTSA organization.
The funds are directed to the school's PTSA organization. Please help in any way you can.

I want to help - Please let me know if there are any gifts or ways to provide consolation to the families of Newtowne around the holidays. I know they've been bringing in therapy dogs to help the grieving families, would purchasing a puppy/dog for a family with grieving siblings be an option? Please let me know any way in which I can help. Thank you so much - Shannon Wylie (shannonw84@gmail.com)

I want to help. I thought about coming to a memorial service, however, I do not want to be in the way. Does the community prefer that unrelated people from out of town not add to the crowd? I will make a financial donation. Thank you, Suzanne La Rochelle at smlarochelle@comcast.net

Having family in the area, there is an intensive media effort in the town right now, and in the interest of the children and not wanting to be intrusive, I wanted to suggest pulling an effort together to create 'art bags' for the children through donations from craft/art suppliers and individual donations. Perhaps this would give the children of this school a creative outlet. I will be in the area end of week. Any ideas welcome on this. mmccormick2@cox.net

We want to help! We would love to give our support to the grieving families and community by bringing our ministry to the people of Newton, CT.
We are Live To Forgive Ministries, in Washington state. Our passion is to set people free from the burden of unforgiveness by telling them of Christ's love and forgiveness. Our ministry is based off of our director, Dean Smith's, testimony of forgiving the man that murdered his mother when he was just 12 years old. We would love to offer our support in the healing process of the community and victims families. We can be contacted at info@livetoforgive.com - - God Bless
