Every 40 seconds, someone in the United States has a stroke and every 4 minutes someone dies from a stroke, according to the National Stroke Association.
In recognition of Stroke Awareness Month, Hillcrest Hospital will offer free stroke risk assessments from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, May 30, in the atrium.
Guests can learn more about stroke risk, assessment and prevention. They also will be provided a free Stroke Risk Score based on personal risk factors.
