Highland Heights Shred Day is Saturday

Old papers can be brought to Service Department.

Since Highland Heights started its twice-a-year Shred Days in 2007, more than 50,000 pounds of paper products have been collected.

Residents can add to that total by dropping off old papers from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Service Department, 5827 Highland Rd.

Old taxes, files, bank statements and other papers can be brought in paper bags or boxes – do not bring them in plastic bags. Residents can drive through the Service Department garage to drop off materials.

If you can't make it this time or haven't gathered up your old papers yet, you'll get another chance when Shred Day returns on Oct. 20.
