Current South Euclid finance director Joseph Filippo will replace retiring Anthony Ianiro, who will vacate his post on June 29. Filippo, who will start as the assistant finance director on June 19, will officially take over for Ianiro the following day.

Filippo has been South Euclid’s finance director since January 2004.

“It’s a great opportunity with Mr. Ianiro retiring," Filippo said. "You know, finance directors, we talk. We know what goes on in different cities. It’s a great place to be.

"I hear nothing but great things about the mayor and council," he added. "It was a chance for me to do this and time for me to go.”
