Gilmour Academy's track and field season kicks off at 10:30 a.m. today with a home meet against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin and Berkshire.
Head coach Jim Chappelle is in his sixth season with the squad, which was 1-3 last year in dual meets.
"We have very large numbers this year," Chappelle said. "We have one runner with state meet experience in senior sprinter Justyn Greene."
Track and field team members are:
Seniors – Justyn Greene, sprints; and Harrison Hunt, sprints.
Juniors – David Hasler, field events; Charles Hoge, hurdles; Tom Hollis, distance; Benoit Mapango, sprints; Alec Smith, sprints; James Tominc, sprints; and Mike Vala, throws.
Sophomores – Joe Amargno, distance; Andy Badertscher, hurdles; John Brett, distance; Joe Catanese, sprints; Alex Clapacs, hurdles; Brendan Coyne, distance; Tom DeSilvio, distance; Charlie Gallo, sprints; Max Gubanc, throws; Mike Palumbo, distance; Matt Ray, hurdles; Alex Ulatowski, distance; and A.J.
